Where Latinos stand on politics, democracy, and engagement| EXPLAINED

This summer, 2PuntosPlatform partnered for the first time with LULAC Pennsylvania to conduct a survey with the goal of better understanding where Latines stand on politics, voting, and democracy amid the current political climate.

Latines are a key demographic during elections as they could have major influence in the upcoming midterm elections. Around 32.6 million Hispanics were eligible to vote in the 2024 presidential elections, being the second-largest demographic of voters in America.

About 53% of Latinos planning to vote in the upcoming elections do not feel represented by either the Republican or Democratic parties, according to the survey conducted by 2Puntos Platform and LULAC Pennsylvania.

“I noticed in the results that 60% of those with a negative perception are more informed now,” Ortiz said. “That brings hope, but also opportunities and challenges.”
