Zulma Guzmán is a prominent community promoter within the Latina community in Philadelphia, widely recognized as “The Queen of Pupusas.” She is celebrated for her exceptional skill in preparing pupusas, a traditional Salvadoran dish. Zulma uses food as a means to foster connection and participation, particularly between parents and schools.

Originally from El Salvador, Zulma’s husband is from Guatemala, and together they have four children and grandchildren. She has a passion for learning, creativity, and recognizing creativity in others. As a respected community leader, Zulma is dedicated to sharing her knowledge with those around her. She consistently works to build connections between organizations and the community.

Zulma strives to create safe spaces where community members feel informed, encouraged to ask questions, and actively participate. Her ultimate goal is to help Latina families embrace the opportunities available in this great country.
